The project was born of the request from a client that they wanted to produce spatulas with the right amount of flexibility for fresh cream. We achieved the ideal flexibility by creating a spatula from a single piece of metal that gradually becomes thinner toward the blade. The central points of the design of the product were its sense of unity and the tension that comes from its sharp form. We were happy with both the design and usability of the prototype but unfortunately the price of stainless steel was driven up by the demand in China that year and the project did not reach the mass production stage.
