AS-960 is Fujiiryoki’s flagship massage chair.
I kept with Fujiiryoki’s traditional trademark black which gives its product a dignified look.
 
However, in order to keep the massage chair from looking like a big black beast I added light to its borders and changed the hue and material feel of its parts.
 
As I’ve been designing massage chairs for the Chinese market for the past few years, drawing sketches for the AS-960 reminded me of the differences in taste1 between the two markets.
