アメリカ・タッパーウェア本社からの依頼で、底から側面まで一体の7層構造の鍋を手掛けました。
熱伝導率の高いアルミニウムを保温性に優れたステンレスではさんだ熱効率の高いこの鍋は、構造が複雑で、蓋、鍋ともに大きく形状を変えることは出来ず、制約のある中でのデザインを求められました。 直接のクライアントであるアメリカ本社と、販売実績№1の日本タッパーウェアとの意見の相違から商品化することは出来ませんでしたが、初期のリサーチから参加させていただき、両国の鍋の使い方やこだわりのある部分の違いがわかる興味深いプロジェクトでした。
At the request of the Tupperware Corporation in USA, we produced 7 ply cookwares that are bonded seamlessly together from bottom to sides.
The cookwares were made with aluminium with high thermal conductivity which was sandwiched between stainless steel that retains heat well and were complex in structure. We were not allowed to deviate much from the original designs of the covers or the bodies and had to work under the constraint. Due to difference of opinions between the American head office who were our direct clients and the Japan Tupperware Company whose sales performance of cookwares is the best among their counterparts worldwide, the product never came to be produced on commercial basis. We were part of the project from the early research stage and the interesting project taught us a lot about the difference in uses and where we are particular about cookwares between the two countries.
美国特百惠（TUPPEWARE）总公司委托设计锅具，这款锅具从锅底至锅身一体成形，具有7层结构。
锅身材质是保温性能优异的不锈钢、内夹导热率高的铝，结构复杂，所以无法大幅更动锅盖和锅身的形状，只能在有限条件之下进行设计。 很可惜地，直接委托本案的美国总公司和业绩称冠的日本特百惠之间，意见分歧，所以无法商品化；不过从初期调查阶段，就得以参与进行，得知美日两国在锅具用法、讲究之处各有不同，获益匪浅。 Prototype｜Photo Masayuki Hayashi |
