RyomaGolfのドライバーをデザインするのは2回目になります。前回は既存モデルのイメージを踏襲しながらのデザインでした。今回はその制約がなかったので、これからこのブランドが持つべきイメージを中心に据えてデザインしました。丁寧なモノづくりを形で伝えるため、質の高いハンドメイドの叩き出しで作るような曲面でソールを構成しました。これはシャープなエッジが立てられないチタンの特性に合わせた手法でもあります。ウェイトと一体の銘板デザインなども他社製品には見られない手法です。今後はハイエンドメーカーとして高性能と高品質が伝わるデザイン言語を全ラインナップで展開していく予定です。
Our second time designing a driver club for Ryoma Golf. At the first time our focus was on the continuation of the previous models. Since there was no such restriction this time, our focus was on the brand image for the future. To visualize the meticulous process of manufacturing, the sole part is composed of curved planes that seem as if they have been formed by hammers held in the hands of seasoned craftsmen. This is also due to titanium’s characteristics that it is not suitable for sharp edged parts such as leading edge. Clubhead weight doubling as a name plate is also a unique design to this club. We will be releasing full line-up of clubs utilising the design language that conveys the high functionality and high quality of the clubs.
这是第二次设计RyomaGolf的1号木杆。第一次设计需要沿袭即有款式的风格，这次则无这些制约条件，因此设计主轴着眼在品牌未来应具备的形象。为了传达细心打造的制作精神，并配合钛合金无法形成锐角的特性，球杆底面是透过手工敲打制成。品牌标志和铅片合为一体的设计手法，从未见于其他公司的产品。今后预定展开全套系列，设计语言将传达高端品牌的高功能和高质量。
